Kochere is the name of a co-op located in the Borena Zone of Southern Oromia. The people of Chalalacktu take great pride in their coffee and carefully reinvest the money they make from it to take care of their people. The heirloom varietals that naturally grow in the area have become so highly sought after that 30% of all exported Yirga Cheffe coffee comes from here.

Black tea, dark chocolate, and sweet lemon keep us coming back to Kochere as the standard for what Ethiopian coffee can be.
